SNEWS and Backpacker honored Great Outdoor Provision Co. as the recipient of the 2010 Retailer of the Year Award for Conservation, a recognition given annually to the outdoor retailer who embodies the spirit of entrepreneurship and who serves as visionary for the outdoor market in the area of conservation.

When are we going to halt public expenditures on the "buffalo hunt" for footloose industry and instead focus our resources and efforts on the sector that produces by far most of the jobs - existing industry and homegrown business?

Logan Trading Co. announced this week that it will match donations up to $10,000 to support Mission to Haiti, a Miami-based charity providing critical medical care and food to earthquake victims in Haiti. Donations can be made at the Logan Trading Co. store or directly to the charity through its secure online giving page at www.MissionToHaiti.org.
