The Art of Style encourages you to support local!

April 13, 2012 2:10 PM | Posted By: Jennifer Bradshaw

A note from The Art of Style....

we've decided that april is our month to completely focus on supporting local artists. so instead of having an event at one of our locations, we are sharing with you several other events happening in the community this month. don't worry, we're gearing up for our big event of the year on sunday, may 6th. our summer charity fashion show is sure to be the event of the season, inlcuding a 70' long runway over water, fire dancers, silent and live auction, wine and food, and all in the name of charity. all proceeds go to the leukemia and lymphoma society. find yourself going to one or several of these upcoming events this month. (and do it in style-we can help!)

Drum for Change has a special offer for you!

March 13, 2012 4:49 PM | Posted By: Jennifer Bradshaw

Drum For Change believes that communication, cooperation, and collaboration are essential for any successful organization.  Ever seen ALL your employees working together successfully?  Doesn't it make sense that healthy and happy employees are more productive?  They're essential to vibrant business!   What sort of programs do you provide for your staff to reduce stress, promote engagement, and foster wellness?

Employee burnout is a critical problem which causes high and costly turnover.  Surprisingly, industry surveys show that emotional factors, rather than economic ones, account for nearly 82 percent of employees’ decisions to stay or leave, indicating that turnover can be significantly reduced by improving the emotional quality of the team.  Recreational Music Making is an affordable, effective, clinically proven way of countering those costs.

A rhythm-based wellness program may be just the way to shake things up!  Drum For Change offers hour-long sessions for groups as large as 250.  In the spirit of spring, DFC is extending a special offer to Shop Local Raleigh members to help grow the health (and wealth) of your company:  Calendar your event between now and May 31 to receive 1/3 off!

What does this look like?  Check out http://youtu.be/WzmagGvc-Pw to see one of the many options.  Book now to save on your event as well as your bottom line!  Small group sessions start at only $200!

Alleviating Hunger – One Gardener, One Row at a Time

Logan’s would personally like to invite you and your family to attend our 4th Annual Plant A Row for the Hungry (PAR) Kick-Off Event on Saturday, March 10, 2012.  From 10am to 4pm, the whole family can enjoy free classes by garden experts, kid’s gardening classes, plus other activities & giveaways throughout the day.  Logan’s encourages all gardeners to donate produce to feed our hungry and homeless neighbors, by simply planting a few extra vegetables or bringing in surplus to share.  In our first three years, there was an overwhelming response from participants in our community, including individuals, families, community gardens, churches, organizations, and schools.
