Thai Box Zing’s Story
I can remember the sizzle of the wok pan as the savory sauce was poured into it, the feel of the heat of the stove, the first taste of the hot food before it was ready to be sold to the hungry crowd, and the smiles of satisfied customers. Those were my fondest memories of my childhood — surrounded by the delicious dishes my mother used to make under a pop-up tent in various county fairs and festivals. It instilled in me a passion for catering and has never ceased to motivate me to recreate the same amazing Thai and Laotian food that I was brought up with. Family recipes passed down to me and brought to you in our food trailer has been a dream come true and I thank you for helping to keep that dream alive.
Thai Fried Spring Rolls ** V– Three crispy vegetable spring rolls served over a bed of lettuce and a sweet Thai chili sauce.
Papaya Salad ** V– Fresh, shredded green papaya mixed with Thai chilies, raw green beans, and tomatoes. Served on a bed of raw cabbage.
Tom Yum Soup-A hot and sour soup that is loaded with flavor. A mixture of mushrooms, lemongrass, and spices make this an exotic comfort food.
Tom Kha Soup– Coconut and lime never tasted so good together until this soup that delivers an out of this world flavor! With hints of lemongrass and galangal root, this soup packs a delicious punch.
Khao Piak Sen– The Lao version of chicken noodle soup topped with fried garlic, green onions, cilantro, and crispy Chinese doughnut pieces. This soup has the ability to soothe the hungry belly.
Panang Curry– A creamy red curry that is the perfect blend of sweet and mild spice with red bell peppers, zucchini, string beans, and eggplant served over white rice.
Yellow Curry– Another staple curry in Thailand, our yellow curry boasts a simple mix of carrots and potatoes served over white rice.
Green Curry – A creamy blend of coconut milk with freshly ground Thai green chilies and red bell peppers, zucchini, string beans, and eggplant served over white rice.
Crispy Beef Jerky with Papaya Salad– Marinated beef, fried to a crisp and served with steamed rice and papaya salad on the side. The ultimate Thai street food.
Phad Thai– Choice of meat: Tofu, Chicken, Beef, Shrimp – A widely popular Thai rice noodle dish blending sweet and sour flavors with tangy tamarind and crunchy bean sprouts. (Crushed peanuts served upon request). Gluten-free.
Fried Chicken Wings w/ Lao Pepper Sauce– Two crispy chicken wings served with a Lao spicy jalapeno sauce on the side and sticky rice.
Basil Chicken or Beef – A classic Thai dish made of your choice of chicken or beef, stir-fried in a Thai basil sauce.
Basil Eggplant w/ Tofu– V-A delicious vegetarian version that is packed with hearty eggplants and fried tofu in a Thai basil sauce.
Beef Larb– A dish unique to Laos, this melange of beef marinated in lime, fresh onions, and mint leaves is sure to bring you an exotic culinary experience. Served with white rice, fresh lettuce, and cucumbers.
Drunken Fried Rice – Choice of meat: Tofu, Chicken, Beef, or Shrimp (add $1.00) A yummy blend of egg, meat (or meatless), green beans, carrots, peas, and Thai basil stir-fried with white rice.
