The Rise of the Rosé: With the increasing popularity of this “summer water,” we’ll discuss how Rosé is made, a brief history of the wine as a part of culture for centuries, the grape varieties used and the classic rosé winemaking regions of the world while we taste.
About the instructor: English-born Hannah Barton Gaunce grew up in Raleigh and graduated from Western Carolina with her sights set on teaching.
But the complexities of wine fascinated her and, after spending two-and-a-half years at the Angus Barn, she passed the first- and second-level exams for the Court of Master Sommeliers.
Now, a Certified Sommelier, her students are wine lovers. Gaunce brings her experience to Pedaler Wine & Beer, sharing the intricacies of the region, vineyard and taste in a $220 billion industry.
