Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo Returns Downtown This Sunday with 45 Local Food Trucks
Shop Local Raleigh brings a day of food, fun and local entrepreneurship to Fayetteville Street on August 23

The Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo, presented by Shop Local Raleigh, returns to downtown Raleigh this Sunday, August 23, bringing over 75 local food trucks and vendors to Fayetteville Street for an afternoon celebrating food, community and the small businesses that make Raleigh such a great place to live, work and play.

With 45 food trucks participating, attendees can explore an incredible variety of locally owned and operated food businesses all in one place.

“The Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo is really about celebrating the people behind these small businesses,” said Jennifer Martin, Executive Director of Shop Local Raleigh. “These food trucks are local entrepreneurs who work incredibly hard to bring their food and their businesses to our community. We want people to come hungry, try something new, bring their friends and family, and spend the afternoon supporting local.”

The Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo is part of Shop Local Raleigh’s ongoing mission to promote locally owned businesses and keep more dollars circulating within the local economy.

Every meal purchased from a local food truck represents more than a great lunch or dessert, it supports an entrepreneur, their employees and the local economy.

“When you eat local, you’re doing more than filling your plate, you’re helping a local business grow,” said Martin. “That’s the heart of what Shop Local Raleigh is all about.”

The Rodeo also provides food-truck operators with an opportunity to introduce their businesses to thousands of potential new customers in one of Raleigh’s most recognizable public spaces.

Visitors are encouraged to make a day of their trip downtown, come hungry, explore Fayetteville Street, grab food from multiple trucks, enjoy dessert and spend some time experiencing downtown Raleigh.
