2016 Shop Local Raleigh Christmas Parade entry!!!

The 72nd Annual WRAL Raleigh Christmas Parade is televised live on WRAL-TV & UNC-TV with approximately 250,000 viewers and more than 65,000 people come to the streets of downtown Raleigh to see it firsthand. It’s the largest parade between Atlanta and D.C. – a great way to give your business exposure.

Shop Local Raleigh has a float custom made to highlight our upcoming holiday marketing program: Where’s Walter.

MANY of you have begged for us to once again allow you to have a shopping cart entry or for you to be a gift package. If you would like to participate WITH Shop Local Raleigh in the parade, you have the choice of bringing a decorated shopping cart representing your business or making yourself a “present/box” with your store info on the present.

If you decide you want to participate, please email Peter ASAP so we can keep record of how many members to expect on parade day.

**You are responsible for securing your own shopping cart or cardboard box should you choose to participate.**

We ask that everyone from your business be in matching logo apparel or like costume so that it’s easily identifiable for you business and the crowd to understand that the entry is made up of small business owners.

**You may carry a sign/poster for your business, but absolutely no banners.

Day of the parade info:

Nov. 19th – All participants to arrive downtown at the Raleigh Christmas Parade. Meet at Hillsborough Street and St. Mary’s Street at 9am. The parade begins at 9:40.
