A Place at the Table to Unveil Flavorful New Café Menu
Raleigh’s first pay-what-you-can café will launch the new menu on April 16
A Place at the Table is excited to announce the launch of a brand-new café menu, debuting on April 16, bringing bold flavors, high-quality ingredients, and fresh inspiration to the heart of the downtown Raleigh community.
The revamped menu is the result of a special collaboration with Dean Ogan, founder and senior advisor of Rocky Top Catering, who is generously donating his time and expertise as a volunteer consultant. Dean worked closely with the Table team to develop a lineup of dishes that are both satisfying and approachable, while staying true to the café’s mission of creating a welcoming space for all.
“We’re thrilled to have Dean’s guidance in curating a menu that balances comfort and creativity,” said Executive Director Maggie Kane. “His passion for hospitality, high standards for quality, and love for our local community shine through in every item.”
New menu highlights include:
- Breakfast Burrito – Packed with eggs, black beans, hoop cheddar, turkey sausage and more to start your day right
- Avocado Toast – A fresh and vibrant favorite with a flavorful twist
- Beefy Grilled Cheese – A hearty take on the classic, melted to perfection
- Meatloaf Sammy – Comfort food meets café cool
- Hot Chicken Sammy – A spicy Southern-style standout
- White Bean Chicken Chili – Hearty, wholesome and perfect for any time of year
- Chef Salad – Crisp, colorful and topped with premium ingredients
A Place at the Table is Raleigh’s first pay-what-you-can café. Its mission is to provide community and good food for all regardless of means. Customers can pay the suggested menu price, pay a minimum amount, pay with a PLACE card, volunteer for a meal, or pay it forward by paying more than the suggested amount.
