The SPCA will be open normal hours for Black Friday from 11:00am to 6:00pm and adoption fees will be 50% off. If you’ve been thinking about adoption, stop by and see if your perfect match is waiting for you. Don’t forget, November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month, and we still have some exceptional senior dogs and cats available who would love to be in their new home this weekend.

SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY – Shop local, shop smallartist donations

Small Business Saturday was created to encourage buyers to support small, local businesses. If you, like so many others, are planning to do some holiday shopping this weekend, stop by the SPCA Retail Store for the animal-enthusiasts in your life. The way to an animal-lover’s heart is through their pet and we have dog treats, cat toys, natural chew toys for rabbits and guinea pigs and so much more. You could even pick up an SPCA sweatshirt for their human. On Saturday, if you spend $15 in the SPCA store, you’ll get a free greeting card by local artist, and another small business owner, Lola J Folk Art. Spend $30 and receive your choice of a pack of five greeting cards or children’s book, also by Lola J Folk Art.

2017 SPCA of Wake County CalendarWhile at the Retail Store, pick-up your 2017 SPCA calendar featuring images by volunteer photographer Tara Lynn of InBetween the Blinks for just $10! These make fantastic stocking stuffers and gifts for the pet-lover in your life. Remember, all proceeds from the SPCA Retail Store go right back to the animals. The Retail Store is located inside our Adoption Center at 200 Pet Finder Lane in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Giving Tuesday is November 29th, 2016.  There is one name we hope makes your giving list –The SPCA of Wake County. On this day, you are encouraged to pause from your holiday shopping and give a gift to a charity in your area. The SPCA of Wake County is a local, independent, non-profit organization that receives no government funding or tax dollars. We rely almost entirely on private donations to fund our programs. The SPCA is not affiliated with, nor do we receive funding from, the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). By supporting the SPCA of Wake County, you are helping homeless pets directly in your community.  Help us gift the gift of life this holiday season.  Click here to give online.
