Hibernian Pub to Host First Annual Charity Golf Tournament in North Raleigh

On Tuesday, September 10, 2013, the Hibernian Irish Pub & Restaurant will tee off for the first annual Charity Golf Tournament in North Raleigh and support the National MS Society, Greater Carolinas Chapter.

“In downtown, we hosted a charity golf tournament every year, so we are happy to start another great tradition in North Raleigh in order to continue helping those living with MS,” said North Raleigh manager Gerry McDermott who served as the Hibernian Pub general manager in downtown Raleigh over six years. “Get your teams in ASAP and join us for a fun day and an important cause!”

The event will kick off at 1:00 p.m. with a shotgun start at River Ridge Golf Club located at 3224 Auburn Knightdale Road, Raleigh, NC 27610. Entry is $400 per team and includes box lunch, beverages on the course, commemorative logo polo and awards after-party at the Hibernian Pub in North Raleigh. To sign up, contact Gerry McDermott at gerry@hibernianpub.com or 919.803.0290.

At the after-party, awards will be given to the overall winning team, longest drive, closest to the pin, and horse’s ass (for whoever’s last)!

In downtown Raleigh and Cary, the Hibernian Pub has hosted charity golf tournaments for the MS Society since 2001 raising over $60,000. Also, the Irish pub sponsors Team Hibernian which participates and raises funds for Bike MS.

About Hibernian Pub:

Established in 2000, the Hibernian Irish Pub & Restaurants bring an authentic taste of Irish culture to the Triangle. After suffering a devastating fire on December 26, 2012, the downtown Raleigh location is set to reopen in late 2013. The Cary location, established in 2003, remains open and another Hibernian pub located in north Raleigh recently opened its doors in early 2013.

Hibernian offers a unique atmosphere that caters to people from all walks of life, blending the Irish public houses of old and the vibrancy of the new modern Irish culture. The pubs are a meeting place for all, to talk, argue, debate, sing, laugh, drink, and eat. They adapt and change with the time of day. The cozy corners and blazing fireplaces will take you away from North Carolina and to the streets of Galway. For events and specials, visit our website at www.hibernianpub.com.
