HOLIDAYS IN THE MARKET 2016

This winter, City Market is hosting a three week holiday celebration that draws upon the very history that defines it. We will be honoring the holidays of yesteryear in both decor, as well as markets and events that bring our community together while celebrating the Holidays both near and far. We are currently accepting applications from vendors to round out what we know will be an heart-warming holiday season!

Below is a list of (3) three events that we are hosting during the season. Please read each carefully and submit an application for the event you would like to be considered.

• Vendors may submit applications for all three events, but will only be chosen for either the Blake St. Holiday Market or Market Hall Vending.

• The application period runs through September 30, 2016. Jurying will conclude and vendors will be notified by October 7, 2016.

• Vending fee will be due no later than October 28, 2016. Failure to do so will result forfeit of space.

• There is no application fee for applying to any of the Holidays in the Market events.

• 80% or more of the work must be handmade, not commercially acquired or appropriated.

• Vendor types we are considering include, but not limited to: painting, photography, printmaking, toy making, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, pre-made perishables
Please note:  We reserve the right to reject applicants who fail to meet the requirements listed above as well as prospective applicants whose works do not reflect the caliber or quality already being presented at Holidays in the Market. BLAKE STREET HOLIDAY MARKET
THREE WEEK MARKET ($500)

Spaces Available: 10 (shop spaces ranging in size)

From November 27 through December 18, we are hosting a Holiday Market in our Blake Street gallery space (previously Blake Street Studios). This market will be an anchor to both the opening and closing parties (detailed below), as well as host to some additional events over the aforementioned three week period.

City Market will have a representative to open/close and oversee the market, but we ask that vendors man their booths (or have a representative in-house) for as many of the hours of operation as possible. Also, as stated there are 10 available spaces for rent in our Blake St. location, so please submit an application if you can commit to the duration of the market.

In addition to the opening party (Blake St. will host photos with Santa) and closing party (Blake St. will host International music), we will be pushing traffic to the Blake St. Market through social media engagement events and additional holiday events.

CHRISTMAS IN CITY MARKET
(OPENING CELEBRATION) $250*

Spaces Available: 30 (20 indoor/10 outdoor 10′ spaces)
*Please indicate on your app if you are interested in a booth at both Market Hall events for a reduced cost of $400!
Kicking off both the holiday season and the Blake Street Holiday Market, Christmas in City Market will feature full street closures as we turn back the clock and line our cobblestone streets with carolers, buskers, horse & carriage rides, character artists, hot cider/cocoa, dog portraits and a small tree farm to name a few. Within Market Hall, we will feature live holiday music ranging from folk/rock to a holiday choir to accompany the pop-up market.

‘TIS THE SEASON AROUND THE WORLD
(CLOSING CELEBRATION) $250*

Closing out our holiday season, Tis the Season Around the World will also feature full street closures as we celebrate the holidays both near and far. In addition to similar fun and festivities from our opening party, Market Hall will feature music and food from from around the world as we celebrate all cultures!
