Live and Local Stage added to Kay Yow Spring Game

A third outdoor stage was announced today by organizers of the Live and Local on Hillsborough Street music and arts festival. Located at Carter-Finley Stadium, as part of a partnership with the Kay Yow Spring Game, the stage will feature headliner the Craig Woolard Band on Saturday, April 12 and the Old Habits on Friday, April 11. All proceeds from the game support the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and the Kay Yow Endowment.

“We are excited to partner with Live It Up! Raleigh to program the Carter-Finley stage. Wolfpack fans have a rich history of celebrating on Hillsborough Street and we look forward to continuing that tradition,” said Media Hooks, associate director of the Wolfpack Club.

Two days of fun await Wolfpack fans with festivities kicking off Friday evening as teams battle it out during the BBQ Bowl and the Old Habits pick the night away. Saturday will be the ultimate tailgate party with celebrity judges announcing the BBQ Bowl winners at 9:00 a.m., the Craig Woolard Band will start promptly thereafter.

Outdoor stages will also be located on Horne Street and behind the Royal Bakery Building. Eight indoor locations will have music and art events, as well. Programming on these stages start at 3:00 p.m. For a full schedule go towww.hillsboroughstreet.org.

Live and Local on Hillsborough Street is presented by Live It Up! Raleigh with support from N.C. State Student Media, Brickhouse Pub, The Alley and McDaids Irish Pub. Promotional support is given by the Wolfpack Club, ARTS NC State, NC State Earth Month and Shop Local Raleigh.
