🧟‍♂️ Zombie Prom at Museum of Natural Sciences 10/24
Dress in your best costume and corsage for a night of undead science, spooky experiments, eerie activities, and slow-dancing fun. Unleash your inner zombie at this 21+ event, where science and the undead meet in a night of electrifying fun. Add a touch of decay to your best dress and come ready to enter the costume contest, play zombie roulette, learn about brain-eating organisms, and so much more. 6:30pm – 10pm. More info.

Get ready for a night of spooky fun, delectable delights, and fantastic entertainment at Gabi’s Ghostly Gala! The gala will be held at One Glenwood, Sky Lounge & 10th Floor Terrace. Don’t miss out on this spooktacular event! 6pm. Tickets and info. 

🧟‍♂️ Zombiepalooza at Downtown Cary Park 10/24
Zombiepalooza returns to the Park for Cary’s spookiest night of cosplay, creativity, and cinematic chills. Presented by The Cary Theater, this free event features a lineup of short zombie films made by North Carolina filmmakers. Before the screening, enjoy zombie-themed activities, a Halloween costume contest for kids and adults, and even a round of zombie musical chairs! Bring your blankets, your best undead look, and your bravest friends for a night of spooky fun. 6pm-9pm. More info.

🎃 Kooky Spooky Halloween Party at Marbles 10/24
Dress in your magical best and step into a world of playful spooks and friendly frights at this family-friendly Halloween spooktacular. What to expect:
Explore & experiment with spooky science
Visit Camp Kooky and seek adventures in the not-so-scary Frightful Forest
Craft kooky monsters and build one-of-a-kind Frankentoys
Dress up the pets and care for dragons, unicorns and other magical friends
Deliver your favorite ghoulish pizza or score a goal in broom ball

🚃 Haunted Trolley Tour 10/24-25
Discover history, mystery, and lore with your ghost host on the Haunted Trolley, if you dare, for a special late-night tour of downtown Raleigh’s most haunted places. Jump aboard and keep your eyes open for ghostly visitors of years past… they’ve just been dying to have you. Recommended for ages 6 and up due to frightening elements. 🎥 Hotel Transylvania and 1408 at Downtown Cary Park 10/25
Join Downtown Cary Park for their first Double Feature movie night in the Park to celebrate all things spooky. First, enjoy exciting pre-screening activities for the whole family. Then catch a screening of Hotel Transylvania (PG). Stick around for a film for an older audience, 1408 (PG-13). Food trucks will also be on site. 6pm-10pm. More info.

🧑‍🌾 Boos & Brews Midtown Farmers’ Market at North Hills 10/25
Boos & Brews is back at the Midtown Farmers’ Market at North Hills! Shop 30+ vendors, craft beer tastings featuring local breweries, pumpkin decorating, live music with Mary Selvidge, and a costume parade with prizes (10:30 AM). 8am-12pm. More info.

💀 Day of the Dead 5k & Street Festival 10/25
Get ready for the 13th Annual Day of the Dead 5K, benefitting the kids of the Fox Road Boys & Girls Club. Over the past 12 years, more than 6,000 runners have come together to raise over $170,000 for Boys & Girls Clubs! This year’s race begins at 9:00 AM, winding through historic Oakwood Cemetery before looping back to Wilmington Street, where the celebration continues with a lively street festival. Stick around for local vendors, delicious food, live music, face painting, kids’ activities, and the famous dance-off costume contest. Whether you’re racing, remembering someone special, or simply joining in the fun, this event is a joyful celebration of community, culture, and giving back. 9am. More info.

🛎️ Downtown Scary Park: Haunted Hotel 10/25
“Check in” for a full day of Halloween fun with an afternoon Family Pumpkin Carving Party, featuring costumed characters and festive activities at Downtown Cary Park. As the sun sets, the spooky vibes continue with a hotel-themed movie double feature. Before the movies, enjoy “lobby-level” fun with themed activities and treats that will have you feeling right at home…if your home happens to be a haunted hotel! 🧙 Spellbound at Mordecai 10/25
Encounter mysterious characters and amazing magicians, have your fortune told, and decorate a pumpkin to take home for All Hallow’s Eve. Shop for enchanting handmade items and treats at our mysterious market and enjoy family-friendly stage performances, inflatables, and more. Kids and pets, wear your best Halloween finery to enter the costume contest and parade! The kids’ contest will begin at 12 p.m. and the pets’ contest at 1 p.m. For an added layer of spooky fun, join The Ghost Guild for their ninth annual Haunted Mordecai presentation. 10am-3pm. 🍺 Burgers, Boos N’ Brews 10/25
Live music, costume party with prizes, burgers, and new brews. The Edit Beer Co. brew team is breaking out the grill for an afternoon of burgers, new beer releases, and live music. In this hauntingly fun workshop from Urban Pothos, you’ll create your very own Cemetarium—a spooky terrarium filled with eerie plants, mossy textures, and bone-chilling details. 🎃 Great Gourds & Ghouls Flower Design Workshop 10/29
Join Zin Yoga & Wine for another design workshop. Pick between a cute pumpkin or an upcycled skull made from a milk jug (an additional $5 – see pictures on our sign up!). They’ll have tons of gorgeous fall blooms to choose from and a design lesson and guidance from Meg. Zin Yoga & Wine in Garner. $40 for a pumpkin, $45 for a skull! 6:30pm More info.

🐶 Spooky Tails at Apex Nature Park 10/29
Celebrate the fall season with your furry friends! Bring your pup(s) dressed in costume to enjoy this SPOOKY event. Dogs must be leashed at all times. Free to attend, no registration required! Apex Dog Park Pass required to use the dog park. This year’s event features animal rescues & shelters, a pet vendor market, custom art, pet trick-or-treating and a donation drive with a raffle prize. 5pm-7pm More info.

Wear your favorite Halloween costume and head down to the Park for some pre-Halloween trick-or-treating.  The Cary Police Department (Downtown Team) hosts this family-friendly trunk or treat along Park Street. 5:30pm-7:30pm. More info.

👻 Spirits of Wake Forest through 10/30
If you’re looking for a “hauntingly” good time this fall, then don’t miss the upcoming season of “Spirits of Wake Forest” ghost walk in historic downtown Wake Forest. These tours are presented by Wake Forest Downtown, Inc. (WFD), in partnership with Firebox Theatre Company (FTC). Downtown Wake Forest’s buildings and sidewalks have seen well over 100 years of history, and they have some eerie stories to tell! Join WFD, Inc. and FTC’s incredible cast of storytellers to learn about the restless spirits that make up just a small piece of downtown’s haunted history. More info.

Join us for trick-or-treating in North Hills! Dress up in your best costume and stop by your favorite restaurants and retailers for candy. Store hours vary by location – participating retailers will have a sign hanging on their door! 10am-8pm. More info.

🪦 Plant Funeral at Copperline Plant Co. 10/31
Have a dead or dying plant? Bring it to the shop so the team at Copperline can try to cast a spell and bring it back to life! No chance of your plant re-joining the land of the living? They have tombstones to remember your beloved by…also you can grab a “replacement” plant for 15% off! Join all day on the 31st for hands-on help, costumes, shenanigans, and discounts! 11am-7pm. 💀 Spookfest at the Southeast Raleigh YMCA 10/31
Join the Southeast Raleigh for a Halloween evening of festive fun, games and plenty of treats at our annual Spookfest celebration on Friday, Oct. 31 from 5 – 7 p.m. Costumes are encouraged, and no registration is required—just come ready for a great time. Enjoy live music from a DJ, bounce houses, face painting and tasty bites from local food trucks. Plus, stop by the Advance Mobile Wellness Bus for free health screenings and flu shots. As the sun sets, the excitement ramps up with two Trunk or Treat experiences from 6:30–7pm: A family-friendly Trunk or Treat in the SE Raleigh Elementary School parking lot, A spooky Trunk or Treat in the Beacon Site parking lot featuring the infamous Haunted Y Bus and decked-out rides from the Changing Lanez Car Club.
