20th Annual Krispy Kreme Challenge 2/3
2,400 calories. 12 Doughnuts. 5 Miles. 1 Hour. What started as a challenge among ten friends has transformed into a nationally publicized charity race. Participants begin the Challenge at the Memorial Belltower at NC State University. Runners then travel 2.5 miles to Krispy Kreme, where they attempt to consume one dozen original glazed doughnuts. The hardest part of the Challenge awaits them as they run 2.5 miles back to the Memorial Belltower. More info.

Get ready for lift off with the Museum and the Raleigh Astronomy Club at Astronomy Days! You’ll enjoy a celestial adventure that explores the wonders of the universe through technology, telescopes, engaging talks by scientists (including special guests) and plenty of hands-on activities. Asteroids and meteorites — some of the oldest material in the solar system — will be in the spotlight this year.
