When Entrepreneurship is Tough
A big thank you to Sherif Fouad for presenting this month’s Tech Tuesday! He shared valuable insights on leadership, self-awareness, building effective systems, and looking upstream to address the root of business challenges. His perspective offered plenty of practical takeaways for business owners looking to empower their teams, improve their operations, and build stronger, more sustainable businesses.
What if some of the challenges in your business aren’t just problems to fix—but reflections of the way you lead, make decisions, and build your business?
At our latest Tech Tuesday, we took a deeper look at the connection between business owners and the businesses they create. We explored how our habits, decisions, and leadership styles can show up throughout our businesses, from hiring and pricing to team dynamics, customer relationships, and day-to-day operations.
A major theme of the conversation was the importance of looking upstream. Instead of constantly treating the symptoms of a problem, business owners can step back and ask: What is creating this problem in the first place? By examining the systems and processes behind recurring challenges, we can create solutions that make success easier for everyone on the team.
We also explored the idea of being the lighthouse rather than the tugboat. Great leadership isn’t necessarily about being involved in every decision or constantly correcting your team. It’s about creating clarity, establishing strong systems, and providing your team with the tools and direction they need to navigate successfully.
The conversation also touched on metacognition—thinking about your own thinking—and how stepping out of the day-to-day can help business owners see their organizations from a completely different perspective.
There was so much more to the conversation, and we don’t want to give it all away!
Missed it? No worries!
