Meet the Owners of GoPlaySave Triangle, Holly Armstrong and her husband, who started the business in 2004 with a simple goal: to create a way for families to save money while supporting local businesses and giving back to the community.
After spending years in corporate America, Holly’s perspective shifted when her oldest son was born. She wanted to be more present in his life from volunteering at school to being involved in his sports, while still having a career she was passionate about. GoPlaySave gave Holly the opportunity to do both.
What started as a traditional paper coupon book has evolved into a mobile-first platform that makes discovering local businesses, saving money, and fundraising easier than ever.
From Paper Coupons to a Mobile-First Platform
GoPlaySave originally operated as a traditional paper coupon book. In 2013, the company launched its mobile platform, eventually making the decision to transition to a strictly mobile-first experience.
The change solved one of the biggest challenges with the traditional coupon book: timing.
With a printed book, businesses had to submit their offers by a strict deadline. Once the book was printed, it could become outdated almost immediately. The GoPlaySave app allows businesses to add offers on a rolling basis whenever they are ready, giving local businesses more flexibility and allowing customers to discover new deals throughout the year.
The result is a win-win-win for families, local businesses, and nonprofits.

How GoPlaySave Works
The GoPlaySave Triangle app puts local offers right at your fingertips. Customers can search for merchants by name, category, or city/ZIP code, or use the Near Me feature to discover businesses close to their current location.
When you’re ready to use an offer, simply select it and show it to the merchant before tapping Redeem Offer. For most GoPlaySave offers, the process is as simple as showing the redeemed coupon to the business.
You’ll know the offer is ready to use when the screen turns orange and the business logo starts bouncing. That’s your cue to show the screen to the merchant and receive your discount.
Depending on the business, offers can also be redeemed using a barcode, QR code, or unique coupon code.
Fundraising for Schools
One of the ways GoPlaySave makes a difference in the community is through its fundraising programs for schools and other organizations.
The GoPlaySave mobile app is packed with more than $13,000 in local savings, including offers from businesses families already know and love, such as Culver’s, Sky Zone, and Learning Express Toys & Gifts.
For schools, GoPlaySave turns those everyday savings into an easy fundraising opportunity. Students can create their own custom storefront and share their unique fundraising link or QR code with friends, neighbors, and family members.

Get Set: Families visit the school’s dedicated GoPlaySave fundraising page to get started.
Go: Students set up their custom storefront, purchase their mobile book, and share their unique link or QR code with their community.
When someone makes a purchase through a student’s link, the student receives an email notification, making it easy to track progress toward fundraising goals and prizes.
It’s a simple way for schools to raise money while giving families something they can actually use: access to savings at local businesses.
