Outdoor Movie Series Coming to Downtown Raleigh

Grab your lawn chair and head out to City Plaza this Friday, June 13 for the PNC Downtown Raleigh Movie Series, featuring science fiction adventure film, The Hunger Games and live music from Urban Soil.

Whether it’s a date night or Friday night out with friends, the PNC Downtown Raleigh Movie Series offers a one-of-a-kind outdoor movie experience with live music, food trucks, and a beer and wine tent.

The Movie Series takes place at City Plaza, 400 block of Fayettevlle St., on Fridays (June 13, June 20, and June 27) from 5 pm-10:30 pm. Sponsored by Red Hat, chairs will be provided to accommodate movie goers. Due to limited seating, we highly encourage you to bring your own lawn chair. The Movie Series is open to the public and event admission is free.

 

MOVIE SERIES EVENT SCHEDULE:

LIVE MUSIC: 5:15 PM-BEFORE MOVIE BEGINS

Before showtime, enjoy live performances from some of the best up-and-coming local musicians.

MADE-IN-NC FILM: 8:15 PM-8:30 PM, SUNDOWN

Enjoy an exciting made-in-NC film on our wide outdoor screen. Movies include: June 13: The Hunger Games, June 20: Iron Man 3, and June 27: Muscle Shoals, an exhilarating documentary that tells the story of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and its colorful, memorable music scene.

FOOD TRUCKS: 5 PM-10:30 PM

Indulge in the best in-street eats from a variety of local food trucks.

BEER AND WINE TENT: 5 PM-10:30 PM

Sip on local craft beer from some of North Carolina’s unique microbreweries: Aviator Brewing Co., Crank Arm Brewing Co., and Raleigh Brewing Co.
