Sassool Mediterranean Cafe will celebrate the birthday of its namesake Cecilia “Sassool” Saleh on Monday, August 8th, at both locations. The restaurant will give a percent of sales to the Susan G. Komen NC Triangle to the Coast in honor of Cecilia, who is a breast cancer survivor.
The featured item of the day will be the “Cecilia Sandwich”, a pita wrap filled with zaatar, cheese, olives, peppers and mixed greens. Zaatar dip is a tangy blend of ground sumac, thyme, sesame seeds and olive oil. Customers may sample the zaatar dip at both locations!
Door prizes will be given away to lucky winners, with the choice of free admission tickets to Marbles Kids Museum in downtown Raleigh or a bottle of Lebanese red wine.
The birthday celebration also coincides with Sassool’s Senior Night, which takes place every Monday night from 4pm to 9pm. Seniors ages 55+ recieve 15% off their meal when mentioning the senior discount t checkout.
Don’t miss the Magic Monday entertainment from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at Sassool’s Cary Location, Magic Roman delights both young and old balloon creations and card tricks. The Cary restaurant is located at 1347 Kildaire Farm Rd at the Shops of Kildaire. The Raleigh restaurant is located at 9650 Strickland Rd.
Menu Items at Sassool are prepared daily with fresh produce from the State Farmers Market. Sassool offers traditional Lebanese favorites such as hummus, stuffed grape leaves and kabobs, as well as a colorful selection of contemporary Mediterranean salads. Many vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are available.
