At Brewgaloo, we love beer with a story—and That’s No Moon from Four Saints Brewing Company is a true labor of love. Brewed by Andrew Deming, this Belgian-style Witbier brings classic brewing back to center stage with a citrusy twist.
So, what makes That’s No Moon so special?
While you’ll still find Witbiers on some menus, true-to-style versions like this are increasingly rare. For Andrew, brewing it is more than just following a recipe—it’s a passion project. He describes the beer as “really freaking good,” even if he humbly compares it to what he considers the best beer in the world: Allagash White. “I’m always in awe of how delicious and consistent that beer is,” he says. “Ours isn’t trying to outdo it—it’s our love letter to the style.”
This citrusy, lightly spiced beer—thanks to coriander and orange peel—is crisp and refreshing, making it the perfect pairing for a Caesar salad, grilled seafood, key lime pie, or, let’s be honest, a lazy afternoon at the beach.
Meet the Brewer: Andrew Deming
Andrew’s path to brewing wasn’t a straight one. He spent years in retail management, working hard to provide for his family. But when it came to personal fulfillment? The spark just wasn’t there—until he found brewing. “I don’t have to do this,” he says with a smile. “I get to do this.”
It all started 25 years ago when his wife gifted him a homebrew kit for their first Christmas together. The first batch? Let’s just say it was memorable—an exploding airlock left beer on the ceiling of their apartment. But even that disaster couldn’t deter him. One batch led to another, and over the next 15 years, he transformed from curious homebrewer to full-time pro.
Now, with over a decade of professional brewing experience, Andrew is more inspired than ever. “I still get excited about coming to work every day,” he says. “Crafting beers like That’s No Moon and creating special taproom exclusives keeps me going.”
And if you’re a Four Saints fan, don’t miss their 10th Anniversary Week celebration, happening May 3–11. Expect some exclusive brews, anniversary surprises, and plenty of reason to raise a glass.
Cheers to Andrew and the Four Saints crew for keeping tradition alive, one incredible beer at a time. Don’t forget to try That’s No Moon at Brewgaloo—you might just discover your new favorite witbier.
