Kate Sutton gives counseling to young girls and women who are stressed, have eating disorders, anxiety and more. She has a blog and many resources on her website to help people.
“Many times, folks come see me because there’s a sense of anxiety no matter how much self-care or meditating they’ve done. Sometimes, anxiety is triggered by a life change; other times, it comes on all of a sudden or because of a traumatic event. Either way, life feels unbearable when you’re constantly scared, worried when the next shoe will drop, and wishing your quality of life could be better.
When we work together, I’ll ask you to challenge yourself but stand right along with you. We will use a combination of goal setting, mindfulness, and self-expression that help you do some internal deep diving. Some sessions we may use regular “talk therapy,” and other times we may use things like art, music, breathing, and body-centered therapy.”
