Beer Law Center focuses on the intersection of alcohol and the law. We encompass all aspects of the craft beverage industry from business formation, contract review, federal trademark registration, federal and state permitting, beverage labeling, formula approval, or buying and selling a brewery. Beer Law Center prides itself on developing ongoing relationships with our clients instead of merely being a supplier of services.
Having represented over 150 breweries and alcohol businesses, we are able to work with clients effectively both locally and nationally on many legal issues.

ATTORNEY JOHN R. SZYMANKIEWICZ ESQ, PE
Attorney John Szymankiewicz is the founder of Beer Law Center and the head of the business practice area of Matheson & Associates PLLC. Prior to becoming an alcohol attorney, John worked in the specialty chemicals and pharmaceuticals industry as an engineer and project manager.
Since graduating from North Carolina Central University School of Law, John’s practice has focused on alcohol law and regulation, corporate and contracts law, and serving as the general counsel for small businesses. As a home brewer for nearly 20 years, the move to practice alcohol regulation law was a natural fit. John specializes in applying his comprehensive understanding of the craft alcohol industry to his growing practice.
