Tim Colgan helps individuals and families preserve, restore and move forward with their lives. He works with families facing separation and divorce to reach fair agreements that allow them to put their children first and move past their divorce and separation. Colgan’s work helps families minimize the emotional pain and financial destruction normally associated with separation and divorce.
Colgan also works with attorneys and individuals as a mediator and arbitrator. He assists the parties in determining their forward-looking needs and interests to help them develop options for resolution that they believe are fair and equitable. He works best with clients who are interested in reaching fair agreements to achieve closure and preserve respectful relationships for the benefit of their children.
Additionally, Colgan provides peace of mind to individuals and their loved ones by preparing their estate plans and assisting with the administration of estates.
Mr. Colgan trained in Collaborative Practice in 2007 and Mediation in 2008. He was the 2008 and 2009 President of the Collaborative Professionals of Central Pennsylvania (CPCP). He is a court-appointed Parenting Coordinator in York County and has also served as a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) and Special Master in Dauphin County. He is a member of the Cumberland, York, Dauphin County, and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. He is also a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP).
Colgan is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, University Park, and the Widener University School of Law.
