Inter-Faith Food Shuttle pioneers innovative, transformative solutions designed to end hunger in our community. From BackPack Buddies and School Pantries; Community Health Education and Mobile Markets; Catering and Culinary Job Training; and Urban Gardening and a 10-Acre Farm; we go directly to the point of need to empower people. We feed, teach and grow to create a healthy and hunger-free North Carolina.
The Food Shuttle saves 6 million pounds of healthy food from being thrown away and re-routes it to these people in need. Almost 35% of what we distribute is fresh produce. This food comes from retail food donations, the Food Shuttle Teaching Farm, volunteer food drives, and field gleaning…click here to learn more about where we get our food.
We feed people through programs such as BackPack Buddies, Mobile Markets, Grocery Bags for Seniors, School Pantries, our Mobile Tastiness Machine, and by partnering with over 80 local agencies in neighborhoods throughout our service area to reach people at their point of need.
Volunteer with Inter-Faith Food Shuttle and help feed our community.
