Our Vision
Learning Together has a 40-year history of providing high quality, inclusive early childhood education to children with and without disabilities in Wake County during the 2016-2017 program year. Our Developmental Day Center operated 7 classrooms in Raleigh and Cary serving more than 70 children ages 18 months to 5 years annually. We pioneered inclusion in early childhood education in Wake County.
Learning Together provides a high-quality preschool program meeting the educational and social needs of children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years old. Rated a five-star center by the North Carolina Department of Child Development and Early Education, Learning Together is also accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) considered to be the “gold standard” in the education of early childhood professional and is one of only 11 centers in Raleigh to carry this accreditation.
Approximately 60% of the young children at Learning Together have a developmental disability or delay. More than 70% of children served live in low-income households, with 60% living in poverty. Therapy is provided for children with disabilities. All children receive health screenings and nutritious meals and snacks each day.
