Raleigh CrimeStoppers, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that was formed in the 80s to assist the Raleigh Police Department by providing a method for informants to leave confidential tips (about burglary, theft, murder, guns owned by felons, etc.) and receive compensation if the tips are valid and helpful to the investigation. Raleigh CrimeStoppers receives about 500 tips a year.
