About Our Host
The Loading Dock is a Certified B Corporation dedicated to fostering a collaborative and diverse work community. Founded in 2016 by Philip Freeman, CEO of Murphy’s Naturals, The Loading Dock was created to bring together impact-driven entrepreneurs and business leaders. With multiple locations, including the Beryl Road campus in Raleigh, The Loading Dock provides flexible coworking spaces, private offices, meeting rooms, and event venues designed to support creatives, freelancers, small businesses, and remote professionals.
Guided by the mantra “Do well. Do good. Better together,” The Loading Dock believes that thriving businesses can create meaningful community impact. A strong advocate for supporting local economies, The Loading Dock prioritizes purchasing from small-scale, locally owned businesses, recognizing that doing so helps create more prosperous and connected communities. By choosing independent businesses over national chains, more money is reinvested into the local economy—supporting neighborhood businesses, aiding those in need, and sustaining local farms.
With a growing network of over 1,200 members, The Loading Dock continues to support and inspire businesses to engage in sustainable, equitable, and purpose-driven practices that strengthen the communities they serve.
