Sturdy Bones Woodworking is a full-service woodworking shop specializing in custom and made-to-order furniture located in Durham, NC. Owner and craftsman, Cameron Lockey is devoted to fashioning furniture that clients will love.

Cameron began his woodworking journey while renovating a home in North Raleigh, NC, in 2019 converting the victorian-style trim of the home to bold craftsman style moldings and trim. His passion for creative problem-solving led him through a career in software engineering to woodworking as a hobby, which eventually became the vision for Sturdy Bones Woodworking.

He and his wife Kacey relocated to their 132-year-old home in Durham, NC in 2021 where they plan to build their life, their growing family, and many beautiful pieces of furniture for clients. The sturdy old barn which houses Cameron’s shop is framed with rough sawn dimensional lumber and old fashioned framing techniques, which inspired the name of the company.  Click here to start bringing your idea to life!
