From sunrise to sundown, we are always working hard to bring you the best tasting BBQ you’ll ever have! Big Al’s BBQ & Catering strives to provide you with the freshest and tastiest products available. We cook our food fresh daily, slow over a wood fire.Pork BBQ is cooked for 12 to 14hrs, ribs and chicken 5 to 6 hrs and beef brisket 16 to 18 hrs. It’s perfection. Hushpuppies and vegetables are made fresh daily, or when Big Al’s mobile kitchen shows up for a festival or catering event. Aside from BBQ, Big Al’s serves up the tastiest charbroiled burgers, steaks, hot dogs, chicken or fish, along with all the best barbecue fixins. Do not pass up the banana pudding!

Festivals, Events, and Catering
At Big Al’s BBQ, we believe BBQ is better when cooked on wood. With that idea in mind, we slow cook pork, ribs, chicken and beef brisket in a 32 ft. mobile kitchen with an Ole Hickory Smoker mounted on the back. All our meats are smoked on hickory wood. The mobile kitchen has refrigeration, freezer, warming cabinet, required sinks, three 40lb. double basket fryers, char-broil grill, steam table, heating & air, fresh water tank. waste water tanks and on board generator which gives us the ability to travel to different places and prepare food on the spot.
Whether its a festival, a family reunion, a corporate retreat or a down-home wedding, we have the facilities fulfill your barbecue catering needs in eastern Carolina. Located in Raleigh, but able to go anywhere, our mobile barbecue pit is the perfect solution for events of all kinds.

Our slow roasted barbecued meats are the best you will find anywhere. We’ve put 30 years of effort in perfecting seriously great barbecue. It’s our passion. Pork, chicken, ribs, brisket and smoked turkey are on the grill daily and we’ll fry up catfish whenever you’re up for that. We make our baked beans, green beans, potato salad, cole slaw, mac & cheese and Brunswick Stew fresh every day, and offer an array of fresh to order sides like fried okra, french fries and sweet potato fries, fried pickles and buffalo wings.
Single meals, kids platters, family packs or by the pound, we’ve got barbecue the way you want it. Dine with us and enjoy our family friendly atmosphere, or call ahead and to pick up. Its so good, we’ll even ship our barbecue and sauces nationwide.
