City Council Appoints Members to Sign Task Force

The Raleigh City Council voted 5-1 today to appoint members to a task force to review the City’s sign rules. Appointed to the 11-member task force were:

  • Michelle Corbin of Hamlin Drug Co. and former member of the City’s Special Events Signage Task Force, which has been disbanded;
  • Bryan O’Haver, member of the City’s Appearance Commission;
  • Carlton Midyette, developer;
  • Andrew Stewart of Empire Properties;
  • Jennifer Martin of the Greater Raleigh Merchants Association and former member of the Special Events Signage Task Force;
  • Bill Mullins, developer;
  • Andy Martin, member of the Arts Commission and restaurant franchise owner;
  • Anthony McLeod, co-chair of the Southwest Citizens Advisory Council;
  • Leslie Bryant, Fairview Acres resident and former member of the Special Events Signage Task Force;
  • Neil Reimann, attorney and Cameron Park resident; and,
  • Patrice Bethea, former member of the Special Events Signage Task Force.

The main responsibility of the task force is to review the City’s window signage ordinance and procedures, and recommend any changes to the City Council.
