Why Caring Community Foundation?

Because the cancer patients we serve are your friends, family, and neighbors. Because through the Foundation, your dollars can truly make a difference…

… for Melody*, a mom with multiple myeloma undergoing chemo and a transplant. Her family’s mortgage is $508 but they cannot make the next payment because caring for her child and working during treatment has become unmanageable.

…for Edward*, who is receiving chemotherapy treatments after a pancreatic cancer diagnosis. He continues to work as much as possible at his hourly job during treatment, but has fallen behind on his water and electric utilities. Just $112 covers his bills.

When Caring Community Foundation is able to step in and relieve some financial stress for these patients, it is because of donations like yours. Help us continue to impact these lives. Donate to our Giving Tuesday Campaign.

All donors have a chance to win a one-night stay at award-winning spot The King’s Daughters Inn in Durham.

Raising Araising a ruckus Ruckus
Raising a Ruckus started in 2011 when one of the team members said instead of giving cheap gifts to each other, why don’t we adopt some families and make a difference. And thus Raising a Ruckus was born. Each year, Ruckus Pizza, Pasta and Spirits works with Wake County Schools guidance counselors to identify the families most in need. Each year, over 10 families are adopted giving them what many of us know as Christmas. Whether it’s gas cards or a coat, a pair of jeans or even a cap and gown for the high school senior to be able to participate in graduation, Raising a Ruckus will answer the call. When you are in Ruckus you can make a monetary donation or pick out an ornament or several  on the trees located at each location and purchase and return the item to and know you are making a child’s Christmas More Merry.

Want to donate online quickly and easily to the Raising a Ruckus 501c3 and know your donation will go to these families? Click here and give today and know you are making a difference right here in our community.

As part of Enloe Charity Ball 2017, a student-led service project, they’re raising money for Wake County Continuum of Care, now called The Raleigh/Wake Partnership to End Homelessness. For #givingtuesday their goal is to raise $2,500.  The money they raise will help construct the new Oak City Outreach Center in Downtown Raleigh and provide support services for people struggling without homes.  Consider making a positive impact in our community by donating $10, $25, $50 or $100.  If the goal is $2500 is reached, the Gate’s Foundation will donate an additional $1,000 bringing us to a total contribution of $3,500.
