It’s an Ironman kind of day

For Mariah, the new year kicked off an intense IRONMAN training schedule.  After joining Endurance Nation in December, Mariah appears to be more focused than ever on her June 1 competition.

Mariah set a goal to lose 15 pounds of fat this year and focus on lean muscle building.  To achieve this goal, she’ll need her rigorous training routine, but she also must watch her diet.

In the next couple of weeks we’ll be featuring how she’s eating healthy by eating local. Check out one of her race sponsors, Happy + Hale, to learn how you can have health delivered to you door!

To combat the elements we’ve experienced in Raleigh, Mariah’s indoor training bike has become her new best friend.

This piece of equipment allowed her to maintain an intense training schedule over the past two weeks. To give you an idea of how she is training, one week included:

Mariah recently posted the following status on Facebook: When I talk about IRONMAN I literally cry. I jump out of bed and can’t wait to train. Slowly but surely my body is following suit. I’m not there yet…. but I assure you, I will be.   Its an IRONMAN day! ALL DAY! EVERYDAY!! #IronMariah

I dare you to match her determination.
