A Shopping SPREE! 2024 Junior League 11/21-24
The Junior League of Raleigh (JLR) returns to the Raleigh Convention Center from November 21 – 24 for A Shopping SPREE! 2024. Shop from 130+ local and national vendors showcasing the latest in fashion, home decor, health and beauty products, specialty foods, children’s items, and holiday merchandise. Join them in the spirit of giving at their 40th annual holiday market, benefiting the JLR’s signature programs and nonprofit community partners. More info.

Downtown Raleigh Tree Lighting 11/22
Downtown Raleigh’s Annual Tree Lighting will be held outside of Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts this Friday! Watch as the Christmas Tree shines cheer across the city, get free pictures with Santa Claus, start shopping for presents at the vendor market, enjoy performances by local artists, and so much more! 5:30pm-8pm More info.

Grey Friday Weekend at The Flourish Market 11/22-24
The Flourish Market is having their biggest weekend of the year! It kicks off Friday morning, in store and online, with the most AMAZING free gifts they’ve ever dished out! They’re 8 years into their Grey Friday celebrations and have some incredible new arrivals and the most amazing free gifts for their customers.⁠ Make plans to go see them this weekend, November 22nd-24th! Pop-Up South African Wine Tasting at Taylor’s Wine Shop 11/22
Taylor’s Wine Shop’s supplier of Diemersfontein and Ridgeback South African wines is closing up shop and is offering some fantastic deals on remaining inventory. These are fantastic wines, but if you’ve been hesitant to pull the trigger on buying because you’re not familiar with them or South African wines in general, then here’s your chance to “try before you buy.” 5:30pm-7pm

Careyoke at the Downtown Cary Park 11/22
On November 22, from 7-9 pm you can participate in Careyoke at the Park. Participants will have the chance to compete against one another by singing tunes from the one and only Mariah Carey. Prizes will be awarded and first place will get 2 tickets to Mariah’s concert on December 9 in Raleigh and a $100 gift card. You must sign up ahead of time to participate. More info.

29th Annual American Indian Heritage Celebration 11/22-23
Celebrate the artistic, historical, and cultural contributions of American Indian communities in NC with live performances, crafts, food vendors, exhibits, and more at the Museum of Natural Sciences. 11am-4pm More info.

The Dessertery at Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts 11/22-12/23
The Dessertery is back at Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts! This holiday-themed pop-up features ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT sweet treats, a massive hot cocoa bar with over 100 toppings, and Santa and live entertainment on certain nights. The Dessertery will be open through December 23rd. Tickets and info.

ABC11 Crossroads Ford Raleigh Christmas Parade presented by Shop Local Raleigh 11/23
Kick off the holiday season with the pageantry and excitement of the 2024 ABC11 Crossroads Ford Raleigh Christmas Parade presented by Shop Local Raleigh. The parade will feature festive floats, giant balloons, marching bands, a live performance by George Birge, Grand Marshal Marcus King, Santa and Mrs. Claus, and so much more! ⁠Watch street side starting at 9:30 am, or on ABC11, the ABC11 streaming apps, and the ABC News Hulu channel. “Santa’s First Christmas” Storytime at Quail Ridge Books 11/23
Join Quail Ridge Books for the kickoff to the holiday season with Mac Barnett! Come dressed in your best holiday sweaters for an event featuring treats, activities, decorations and a special storytime with Mac! Christmas Tree Lighting at North Hills 11/23
For over a decade, North Hills has hosted thousands of guests for a fabulous holiday program featuring live entertainment, kids crafts, and a vendor village. As Santa Claus arrives, the 41 foot Christmas Tree is lit amidst a joyous chorus of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town”. Head to North Hills to enjoy live music from The Embers, a Vendor Village, children’s crafts, food trucks, Santa, and more! More info.

Holiday Shop & Stroll at North Hills 11/23

Holiday Ornament Terrariums With Garden & Gather 11/23
Create your own holiday ornament terrarium with Garden & Gather at The Beerded Lady. In this workshop you will build self-sustaining terrariums from a variety of vibrant plants in large 5″ acrylic globe ornaments. Each ticket will cover the materials for one terrarium that you’ll take home, along with a handout guiding you through making your own terrariums at home.

There will be plenty of extra ornaments and supplies in case you’d like to make more (you’ll be charged $25 for each additional ornament you want to make on the day of the class). Bring the family, a date or maybe sneak out solo to spend some quality time touching moss, creating living ornaments and learning all about terrariums to ease you into the holiday spirit. 7pm-9pm $35/person.
