Meet the Owner of Tannan Plastic Surgery!
Dr. Shruti Tannan is a board-certified plastic surgeon with an additional qualification in hand surgery. A long-time resident of North Carolina, residing in the Triangle area, she has a passion for helping her patients look and feel their best.
Starting Her Own Practice.
Graduating from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics high school in Durham, Dr. Tannan completed her undergraduate and medical school studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with numerous awards, including induction into the prestigious medical honor society, AOA.
Her residency training in plastic surgery took her to the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and Dr. Tannan completed fellowship training in microvascular and hand surgery at the Hand Center of San Antonio in Texas. There, she trained with leaders in plastic, reconstructive, hand, and orthopedic surgery.
Having lived in the Triangle and knowing this is where she would want to raise a family, she and her husband relocated back. Dr. Tannan went on to start her own practice, Tannan Plastic Surgery, which provides plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery services.
Patient-Focused
Specializing in breast, body, and face surgery, she sees that these surgeries are not elective cosmetic procedures, but they can also help alleviate back pain, repair abdominal walls, and improve overall health.
In 2023, Dr. Tannan opened her new office in the Blue Ridge Corridor in Raleigh, complete with a surgery center inside the practice so that she can offer patients the full experience all in-house while allowing them to be in a comfortable space.
Dr. Tannan, a wife, a mother, and now an entrepreneur, understands firsthand what it’s like to juggle motherhood and work. Being a woman herself, she understands her patients and what they too are juggling. Thus, she designed her practice with that in mind, making everything convenient and all-in-one.
From the initial consult to the surgery to the follow-up and post-care, you can find everything in one convenient location at her office.
When not working, Dr. Tannan enjoys supporting her Tarheels and exploring all of the things that Raleigh has to offer!
