Meet the community’s youngest entrepreneurs and learn about their businesses!
Returning to Dix Park for the 3rd time is the widely popular, Falling for Local fall festival presented in partnership between City of Raleigh Parks, Dix Park Conservancy and Shop Local Raleigh. The one-day event is held annually on the third Saturday in October, making this year’s event on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 11am-6pm. This year will feature a new kidpreneur section at the Falling for Local Festival.
The annual event features local vendors, food trucks, local craft beer, live music, hay rides, inflatable games, a pumpkin patch, a demo stage, dance performances, classic cars, touch a truck, adoptable pets, photo stations and more. With over 25,000 attending in 2021, the event is a great way for local businesses to connect with the community.
This years event will feature a kidpreneur section, showcasing budding entrepreneurs that are age 18 and under. Young entrepreneurs can setup a booth to promote their business at a discounted rate of $25 for a 10×10 spot. All vendors wanting to be a part of the event, can apply for a booth online at www.shoplocalraleigh.org under the “Falling for Local” event page. Click here to access the application!
“Falling for Local features a large variety of local businesses and we are excited to invite our area’s kidpreneurs to join us at this year’s event. The addition of kidpreneurs to the festival will give young entrepreneurs a chance to promote their brand, meet new clientele, and network with other local business owners at the event in an effort to help grow the next generation of entrepreneurs” said Jennifer Martin, Executive Director Shop Local Raleigh.
