Renovation Details – Edward McKay Used Books & More

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Edward McKay Used Books & More In Raleigh Closed for Renovation from April 20-26

Raleigh, NC — April 13, 2015 — Edward McKay Used Books & More in Raleigh will be closed from April 20-26 for a renovation. It will reopen at 9am on April 27th.

The primary purpose of the renovation is to install the infrastructure for a computerized inventory system that will be rolled out gradually over a period of months, but other improvements are planned as well:

– An electronic way of tracking trade credit instead of our current paper-based system. (Trade credit will still be usable across all branches of Edward McKay, it will just be tracked via computer.)

– A spruced up and expanded front area and checkout section

– New department signage

– General polishing up

“We have been talking about a computer-based inventory system for a long time,” said Jennifer Keys, General Manager. “Finally we’ll have a way to combine the inventory tracking of a new bookstore with the great prices of a used store.”

Photos will be available at https://www.facebook.com/EdwardMcKayRaleighNC throughout the move, and the Edward McKay Web site at EdMcKay.com will be kept updated.
