Update on Indoor Signage Task Force

We wanted to take a quick moment to update you on the status of the proposed Raleigh sign ordinance changes.

As you know, today was the day for the appointees to be named to the task force to review indoor signage regulations and various other sign issues as appointed by the council.

I attended the council meeting, to learn that the appointees have not been chosen and should be announced at the next council meeting, delaying this matter another two weeks.

Councilor members Thomas Crowder, Bonner Gaylord, and Wayne Maiorano will prepare a list of 10 prospective task force members and present their recommendations to the full Council at its meeting on June 3, 2014.

There was once again some intense discussion over this matter and what specifically will be the items that the task force will be reviewing. There is sure to be more discussion on this matter in the next few weeks.

We will continue to follow this issue closely and keep you updated on the process.
