First Round Begins January 22!

Join proud sponsor and host, Rocky Top Catering, for this series of cooking competitions back again for another great year! All events will take place at the newly renovated 1705 East in Raleigh.

Delectable dining for a great cause — this unique philanthropic event features eight of the region’s premier chefs bringing their BEST to compete in the kitchen, with the ultimate winner driving away in a beautifully restored 1949 pickup truck! Chefs will prepare three courses each using at least two secret ingredients. Guests and chef judges will be in the driver’s seat, voting to decide who moves to the next round.

Here’s the first-round lineup:

January 22
Troy Stauffer, City Club Raleigh vs. Matt Hannon, Ironwood Café

January 23
Jonathan Ballard, Dean’s Kitchen+Bar vs. James Patterson, McConnell Golf

January 24
Trey Cleveland, Top of the Hill vs. Aaron Matyac, Whiskey Kitchen

January 25
Dean Thompson, Raleigh Renaissance Hotel vs. Nick Fay, Coquette

Each night you’ll enjoy SIX delicious courses and the opportunity to vote for your favorites PLUS bid on one-of-a-kind packages offered by the competing chefs! There will be a cash bar featuring local craft beers, craft cocktails and delicious wines, with all proceeds going back to the Lucy Daniels Center.

Don’t miss your chance to buy tickets for this year’s event! First-round dinners are Monday through Thursday, January 22–25; second round is Monday and Tuesday, January 29 and 30; and the FINALE is Wednesday, February 7. Tickets start at just $75, and 100% of the net proceeds benefit the Lucy Daniels Center.

Portions of your tickets are tax-deductible, and you’ll enjoy great dining while helping support programs for children with mental, emotional and social challenges right here in the Triangle.
