Hosted by Raleigh City Farm
Summer is full of quintessential traditions: pool parties, cookouts, farmers’ markets, and countless more. This year, we’re adding another must-do to your list: Outdoor Movies on the Farm. On the Final Friday of June, July, and August, we will host a FREE family-friendly film on the farm. With two insightful documentaries serving as bookends to our July animated classic film, each member of the family will be entertained. The idea for a summer movie series came about as we worked to further align our events and program offerings with our newly revised mission, vision and values. By combining local food, fun and community, we hope old and new friends of our Raleigh City Farm community will feel at home in our urban oasis.
The farm will open each movie night Friday at 7:30pm (movies start at 8:30pm). Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome as well as well-behaved (leashed) four-legged friends. We will have concessions for purchase including: Piedmont Picnic Project’s “Pop” Stand, featuring freshly-popped popcorn with local and wild toppings and wild sodas flavored with locally harvested syrups; RCF will sell beer/wine; and Farmer James plans to serve up something special using summer ingredients he has grown and harvested off of his site (cash/credit cards accepted).
