With the recent arrival of the Holly Springs Salamanders baseball program,  a few local breweries have been given the opportunity to sell their beer. Aviator Brewery, in Fuquay-Varina, has brewed a beer – StitchBuster, a pale ale – exclusively for the complex. Carolina Brewing is a sponsor, and fans will also find beer from Bombshell Beer Company of Holly Springs and Draft Line Brewing of Fuquay-Varina.
The Holly Springs Salamanders are members of the Coastal Plain League, which consists of 15 teams throughout the Carolinas and Virginia. The CPL is a collegiate summer league. Players compete for their respective universities during the school year and then join their CPL teams from May to August. The CPL offers scouting exposure for players who are looking to be drafted by Major League teams.
