So what is Discover Downtown?

Buy a $5 Downtown Pass, online or on the day of at the Glenaire Race, the Mayton Inn, Cary Pottery, or Kababish Cafe.  (this is the fundraiser part — $4 of every pass goes to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund)

Visit participating downtown businesses – there’s shopping, services, food and more to explore!  At each business you visit, present your pass and you’ll be given a raffle ticket.  The more businesses you visit, the more chances to win!

You can turn in your raffle tickets to any business giving away prizes (see below for the growing list of participating businesses!).  Each business will select a winner and then all tickets from all businesses will be pooled for the Grand Prize:: a weekend of fun downtown!  2 nights at the Mayton Inn, as well as lunch, dinner, drinks, and other gift certificates to great downtown businesses. (don’t need to be present to win)

There will be lots of fun for the kids as well!

We’ll have a Bouncy House at 311 S Academy St, sidewalk chalk, and other fun kids activities along Academy Street.

 Here’s a great itinerary for downtown April 1st:

#1) Run or volunteer at the inaugural Glenaire 5K Race at 9am

#2) Stop by the Farmer’s Market for Opening Day Festivities at 10am

#3) Attend the Cary Women’s Club Spring Fashion Show at 11am

#4) Discover Downtown ALL DAY- food, shopping, and fun for the kiddies (and a Ton of great prizes!)

#5) Mid-Town Square Spring Festival for more shopping, food trucks, and great music
