EVERY SUNDAY from 2/25-3/25!
A special 5 week runners workshop created BY RUNNERS, FOR RUNNERS incorporating traditional Yoga, Barre, and many other specifically crafted classes. Learn to stretch and strengthen to avoid injury. We’ll target stabilizing muscle groups to help protect overused muscles, relieve tightness, improve range of motion, prevent poor running biomechanics and increase longevity and recovery time!!
During this 5 week course we will outline and focus on the following:
-Proper breathing techniques
-Restorative movement, incorporating Yin Yoga
-Stretching and lengthening of our muscles using elements of our Pilates based Barre method
-A core and arm driven HIIT workout to improve your aerobic & anaerobic endurance, increase your maximum oxygen uptake – which increases your running performance. (The high level of intensity provides your muscles with a much greater training stimulus than moderate long-distance running).
-DIY massage techniques using Yoga Tune Up Therapy balls to roll out your knotty spots so you can improve your posture and move with more ease through your run
-optional flexibility tracking from Week 1 to Week 5 (please prepare to stay an additional 30min after class on the first and last day)
