This FREE networking event travels to a different host location each month giving attendees the opportunity to check out a variety of unique businesses and organizations that call Wake Co. home.

Meet us at Designed For Joy for a donation drive and morning of networking during August’s 4th Friday Connections!
Designed For Joy provides women in crisis with stability through immediate employment and support, removing the stigma of vulnerability. During this month’s meetup we will be collecting needed supplies to help support this non-profit organization.
We will start the morning with open networking before gathering for a round-robin of introductions. Our host will share with us Designed For Joy’s mission and the work they do to support women in our community. Attendees will have a chance to take a tour of the studio and view items made by the Designed For Joy artisans.

- Disposable Bowls & Plates
- Disposable Cutlery

- Feminine Hygiene Products: tampons, pads, wipes, deodorant
- Nonperishables Pantry Items: breakfast and lunch items including soup and crackers
About Our Host
Designed For Joy provides women in crisis with stability through immediate employment and support, removing the stigma of vulnerability. We envision a community where every woman has the opportunity to earn a living wage through safe and dignified work.
The women who create our brand with us are those living at high risk for sex and labor trafficking and/or food and housing insecurities. We partner with long-running ministries or local NGOs serving women that may be coming out of trafficking, emergency situations, generational poverty, homelessness, rehab, or prison. We believe in a community approach. In this a holistic care approach we take the vocational resource component while our professional partners do what they do best.
