Cary Diwali Festival at Koka Booth 10/12
The Cary Diwali festival includes music, dance, theater performances, a handicraft bazaar, Indian food vendors, sponsor booths, an exhibition of Indian art and culture, and activities for children. 9am to late (Fireworks at 9.30pm) More info.

Portugal Wine Tour Informational Session at Seaboard Wine 10/12
Portugal wine tasting and tour info session this Friday 6-7:30. Meet tour leader Jake Assaf at this casual seated event and learn more about Seaboard Wine’s Portugal wine, cuisine, and history tour next September 22-30, 2025.

They will also be sampling a selection of Portuguese wines with importer Andoni Uroz, and light snacks will be served. $20/person. Tickets

Come out to The Angus Barn to show solidarity for family, friends, and community members living with a mental illness!⁠ Enjoy a family-friendly festival with amazing food, music, a petting zoo, games, and prizes! 100% of the money raised by Walk For Hope directly funds local mental illness research at the UNC-Chapel Hill Department of Psychiatry. ⁠9am-2pm More info. and registration

Fall Back Vintage Market 10/13
Fall Back Vintage presents Raleigh’s newest vintage-only monthly market! This outdoor event prioritizes vintage dealers who are promoting the reuse and recycling of goods, reducing waste, and finding new homes for vintage treasures. 11am-4pm. More info.

Mushroom Inoculation Workshop at Sweet Peas Community Garden 10/13
Join Sweet Peas Community Gardens for a hands-on experience learning how to inoculate logs to grow mushrooms! Tami Purdue will be guiding you through the process step by step, so no experience is necessary.

This hands on workshop is perfect for beginners and seasoned gardeners alike who want to add a new skill to their repertoire. Come get your hands dirty and leave with the knowledge to grow your own delicious mushrooms at home.
