Iconic Character Supports Shop Local Movement with Summer Scavenger Hunt
Where’s Waldo? In Wake County!
Get ready for an exciting adventure this summer as everyone’s favorite red-and-white-striped character is hiding in local shops across Wake County! Quail Ridge Books and Shop Local Raleigh are teaming up to host an exciting scavenger hunt to find Waldo in Wake County during the month of July.
Participating local businesses will be hosting this free family-friendly activity. To take part in the fun, you can obtain a “Find Waldo Local in Wake County!” stamp card, which features the names of all the participating sites. Spot Waldo at any of these locations and get your card stamped by the shop. On August 8th, Quail Ridge Books will host a Waldo party where players can turn their cards in for prizes! Collect more stamps for more chances to win some amazing prizes!

Find Waldo Local launched in 2012, and since then, hundreds of indie bookstores have hosted successful Waldo scavenger hunts across America. The local businesses that have participated have come to rely on the annual event as an essential way to generate enthusiasm and grow their customer base. One merchant declared, “We were amazed at the number of new people who had never been in our store before.
