Kokedama Workshop with Urban Pothos 7/19
Dive into the Japanese art of kokedama, a style of Japanese bonsai in which a plant’s root system is wrapped in moss and bound with string, transforming it into a living sculpture. The experts from Urban Pothos will discuss the fascinating history of kokedama, then you will create your very own kokedama. The workshop includes:
Instruction and guidance in creating your kokedama
All materials needed
You choice of one (1) plant for your kokedama

Saturday On South 7/20
The City of Raleigh is hosting an event for community members to learn about the future of Red Hat Amphitheater, Raleigh Convention Center, and South Street. Head to South Street between Dawson Street and McDowell Street for the party. The Saturday on South party will feature a cookout, bounce houses, live music, snow cones, and best of all…it’s free! Members of the Raleigh Convention Center and Performing Arts Center complex will be on hand to explain what’s planned and answer questions. 10am-2pm. More info.

Downtown Raleigh Treasure Hunt 7/20
Find clues, solve puzzles, and crack codes during this 60 minute walking team scavenger hunt from Triangle Treasure Hunt. Guests will meet at the Sir Walter Raleigh statue at the Raleigh Convention Center (500 S. Salisbury St.) and then depart with their treasure map where they will use their minds and feet to follow clues, solve puzzles, and crack codes to find and unlock the treasure chest! The hunt takes about 60 minutes to complete. Children under 10 years old are welcome to participate for free with the purchase of an Adult ticket. $20/adults, $12/ages 10-17. 5pm Tickets and info.
